For a buyer in search of a home with a prestigious “Property Brothers” pedigree in the New York City metro area, look no further.
A completely renovated home in Greenwich, CT, featuring the touches of Jonathan and Drew Scott is now available for $975,000.
The brothers ensured the four-bedroom, 2.5-bath Colonial maintained its 1920s charm while folding in modern perks like a home office, a more functional dining room and kitchen, as well as a powder room.
The improvements were completed by the Scott siblings in 2016 and featured on Season 10 of their hit HGTV show.
In the episode titled “Character and Closed Concept,” we meet homeowners Barbra and Greg and their three kids. The family, who have bounced around five rental properties in four years, sought the help of the Scott brothers to find a Connecticut charmer without an open floor plan.
Right away, we learn their total budget is $830,000 to purchase their first home. They scope out a few local properties with the Scotts before landing on the Colonial.
The home was listed in 2016 for $699,000, but Barbra and Greg wound up buying it for $680,000, leaving Drew and Jonathan $150,000 for renovation.
Throughout the refresh, the Scotts made a conscious effort to retain period details, including the plate rails and French doors in the dining room and the floor tile in one bath. Custom windows and woodwork were designed to match the home’s original features.
In 2018, after the cameras departed, the homeowners added a master suite (including two walk-in closets) and a living room. The home for sale now measures 2,414 square feet—much larger than the original 1,600-square-foot floor plan.
“The original house was smaller,” says listing agent Linna Yuen of Coldwell Banker, “and they didn’t have a living room per se.”
Of the Scotts’ work, Yuen says, “they kept the original charm but made everything modern.”

Viewers might also recall the husband’s teletherapy business.
“They renovated the detached garage and turned it into a home office,” says Yuen, adding that it’s been insulated for sound. “It’s ideal for someone who needs a quiet space to do their business.”
Despite the loss of the garage for parking, two cars fit comfortably in the driveway.
Other improvements include a new flagstone patio and roof, plus mature plantings in the yard. Mechanicals, windows, and a whole-house generator are also new.
“So far, most of the showings are for young families. They have all said to me, ‘Oh, before we came, we watched the episode.’ Greenwich is a very close-knit community. Overall, it’s a great community for families. They have a lot of amenities, low taxes, and a great school system.”
Greenwich is about 38 miles from New York City (or 45 minutes by train) and has a median listing price of $2,295,000—which makes this TV-famous home a relative bargain.
