An NBA vagabond, Avery Bradley has displayed his scoring skills as a guard in Boston, Los Angeles, Memphis, and Detroit. However, his heart always seemed to remain deep in the Lone Star State—where he spent a single college season with the University of Texas Longhorns.
Until now. Now with the Los Angeles Lakers, Bradley recently decided to sell his Austin home.
Bradley was born in Tacoma, WA, and his family briefly lived in Arlington, TX, during his middle school years. Although they’d return to Tacoma, the state of Texas obviously left an impression on the Bradleys. When it came time to select a college, Bradley headed to Austin.
His 5,891-square-foot home sits on a just under an acre of land in the hills near Lake Travis. Listed for $2.4 million, it’s equipped with five bedrooms and 5.5 baths, all spread out across a roomy two-story structure.
High ceilings and large windows let in an abundance of light, and the modern kitchen is separated from the living space by a large island perfect for food prep or entertaining.
An upper-level terrace provides amazing views of Lake Travis, while down below, there is a full patio deck with grill and entertaining space. An in-ground pool and private deck that stretches out into the lake round out the fabulous features.
Over the summer, Bradley signed with the Lakers, and will make his home (at least temporarily) in SoCal.
Twice recognized as a member of the NBA All-Defensive Team during his seven years with the Celtics, Bradley is likely to bring some grit and edge to the purple and gold, especially now that the crosstown rivalry with the Clippers (where Bradley played for a bit) has heated up considerably.
The Austin house is being presented by Eric Bramlett with Bramlett Residential.
