Maybe a mission not so impossible? Christopher McQuarrie, writer and director of “Rogue Nation” and “Fallout” installments of the popular “Mission Impossible” franchise, is now directing a sale of his Seattle home.

His cinematic contemporary in the Emerald City landed on the market for $4.85 million.

The New Jersey native purchased the place a couple of decades ago, and it’s now owned through a limited liability corporation controlled by his wife, Heather McQuarrie.

Located above a coveted waterfront street, the modern space offers three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and 3,540 square feet of living space.

Originally built in 1956, the structure has since been updated by Seattle-based architect George Suyama.

The open floor plan boasts gleaming ebony floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a huge deck. A steel fireplace is the focus of the living and dining area. There’s also an open chef’s kitchen, a main-floor family and media room, as well as an office.

The master suite features a wall of windows, as well as a spacious bathroom with dual vanities, and a separate tub and glassed-in shower.

In addition to water views, the property is surrounded by gardens and foliage by local landscape architect Robert Chittock.

McQuarrie gained acclaim for his screenplay for “The Usual Suspects,” which won him an Oscar in 1995. He’s gone on to become a go-to collaborator for permanent A-lister Tom Cruise. He’s written and/or directed a number of movies with the megastar, including “Jack Reacher,” “The Mummy,” and the upcoming “Top Gun: Maverick.”

And his mission, since he chose to accept it, will be to write and direct the next two “Mission Impossible” movies. They will come after he completes one last mission on Seattle’s east side and sells this gem of a home.
